We did it!! 50 States!!

We arrived in Alaska at 11:43pm last night! We celebrated our arrival in our 50 state!!! After a 20 hour travel day we were tired but still have enough energy for hugs and high 5's.

On our flight to Seattle, the flight attendant announced Derek and Abby were on the way to their 50th state. The whole plane clapped and cheered. It was a special moment.

We also got to experence the "Midnight Sun" When we arrived at around midnight the sun was just starting to set. The Sun set was at 12:48AM and Sun rise as 3:08AM. Only 2 hours of "night" however, the sun never goes low enough to make it dark. 24 hours of light. It is a very strange experience.


We are traveling with the Mimi's. My mom and mother-in-law are sharing our 50th state achievement.
