Vacation 2010 - Day 6 - Train to Whitter

Today was a 10 hour train ride from Denali to Whitter. 10 hours sounds like a very long time. It is but the train was just amazing!! We have a full glass ceiling! We saw 300 miles of just the move wonderfully beautiful country. Mountains, fields, ponds, valleys, etc. Each more amazing then the last.



Derek was pleased we got to see Mt. McKinley (Denali). It was fogged in an he was quite upset about missing it yesterday. However, today we saw it from about 50 miles away and it was cloud free. Our train guide said this was the first clear day in 3 weeks. Lucky us.
