Vacation 2008 - Day Two - 550 Miles

Day 2 was a long day. We got 4 new states. We made it through Nebraska, Iowa and into Minnesota by 6pm. We unpacked and headed to the Mall of Americas. It closed as we got there at 7pm. We grabbed some dinner at a little greek restaurant. We decided to drive the 25 miles into WI so we could spend all day Monday at the Mall of Americas.

After getting to WI and getting are state picture, we pull into the vistor center to get a map. However, Shelley noticed a weird sound from the back. We had run over a bolt when we pulled onto the shoulder for our picture. We drove to a lighted gas station and put the spare on before the tire could go flat. We then made our way back to the hotel.

Tomorrow morning, I will head to discount tire for a repair while the family will take the hotel shuttle to the mall. I would post our state pictures but am too tired tonight. Just know that we are safely in the hotel. We are so lucky that we could change it in a lighted lot instead of having a blowout along a dark and busy highway. Good night.
