Vacation 2008 - Day Four- 370 Miles

Day Four was fun. We drove to the headwaters of the Mississippi River. Located in Itasca State Park, Itasca Lake is the source. The cool thing it you can walk across it. This picture shows Abby standing on the shore of the Mississippi. The line of rocks shows the dividing line between Lake Itasca and the Mississippi River.

We then drove to North Dakota for the night. Another new state. This was a new state for all of us. The kids now have 40 states. Wonder how many kids under 14 have been to 40 states.
