Vacation 2009 - Day Two - NM, AZ, CO, UT

The day began with some beautiful weather. Cool, partly cloudy. After breakfast, we drove the back roads of NM to get to Four Corners Monument. This was in the middle of nowhere! It was a long drive through many small towns. Glad to be there we got our picture taken each of the states. We then spent some time stretching our legs by doing some shopping of local crafts.

The kids got state 45 (Utah) at Four Corners. However to make it more official we headed off to Moab, UT. Along the way we stopped at Wilson Arch. A beautiful natural arch along the side
of the road. It was also a geocache. It must have been the result of sitting in the car all day, we decided to climb to the base of the arch. It was tricky coming down as it was steep and slippery.

Utah is just wonderful. The rock layers, and mesa's are just beyond words.

Tomorrow we head to Arches National Park and Salt Lake City. Stay tuned. Until then enjoy a few minutes of video from our day.
