Vacation 2007 - Day Six - PA

Today was a beautiful day in Philadelphia. We started off at the US Mint. We saw how they make the coins from sheets of metal. It was fascinating how they scuplt the coin designs on 15' clay circles and scale them down to the coin dyes. Did you know a bucket of 200,000 quarters weigh 1 ton?

We then went to Independence Hall. Our guide was great! He really put the events of the day in context and why we declared independence. Next was the Liberty Bell.

We stopped at Pat's for an original Philly cheese steak. (over rated).
