Well, we made it home safely. We had a great time. Played a lot. Two full days at Seaworld. We also learned a lot (Alamo, Texas History Museum, State Capital). One cool fact I learned is "Why does Texas have a pan handle (answer below)".

Pan Handle Answer: Texas has a pan handle for 2 reasons. 1. To join the union, slave owning states could not be further north that 36' 30'' Latitude. We had to give up territory from the Arkansas River to that limit to KS and OK. 2. The Texas territory also included >50% of New Mexico. We sold of that corner to pay revolutionary war debts.
