Spring Break 2008 - Day Six

Today we just played on the beach. We rode paddle boats and just relaxed. No sunburns but Derek's feet did get a little red. We are off to a Luau dinner.

Update: Kilauea volcano erupted at 2:58am HST on March 20, 2008 for the first time since 1924. Out timing was great. We went on Tuesday the 19th. We went right to the crater and by the lava tube. Both areas are have been closed since the eruption. You can still go in Volcano National Park but they closed off both of the viewing areas and the lava flow we enjoyed. They are closed because of sulphur dioxide gas coming from the vents. They estimate enough to fill 150 Goodyear blimps per day. There are air advisories all over the area. Good thing we went on Tuesday.
